NFL Draft 2019: Cincinnati Bengals full NFL mock draft

A new era has begun in Cincinnati with Zach Taylor taking over as head coach and he will get a shot at nailing a top-15 pick in the NFL Draft.

The Cincinnati Bengals finally decided to get with the times and make a change at head coach. After a 15 year run as head coach, which included zero postseason wins, the team let Marvin Lewis go. Replacing him will be the young former Los Angeles Rams quarterback coach Zach Taylor. Like many around the league, the Bengals opted to find a young, offensive minded coach to hitch their wagon too. The front office will look to help Taylor with a strong offseason and NFL draft.

The offseason started slowly for Cincinnati. They brought back some familiar faces first. Tight ends Tyler Eifter and C.J. Uzomah were retained despite being free agents. They agreed to a contract with tackle Bobby Hart. Cincinnati also retained former first round pick Darqueze Denard. At linebacker, Preston Brown was kept on the roster after an impressive stint with the team.

Luckily their departures were also quiet. They parted ways with the walking fine that is Vontaze Burfict at linebacker. There is still discussion about whether long-time defensive end Michael Johnson will come back to the Bengals. The rest of the team’s free agents that left are of minimal impact.

Looking ahead to the draft, the Bengals are a tough team to predict. Any time a new coach, who varies so vastly from the previous regime, takes over it is a tough spot. There is a chance he is going to want his own players at certain spots, especially quarterback. This mock draft is going to look at how Cincinnati could take a path to quickly revamp their team with this draft.

The mock draft was done using The Draft Network’s mock draft machine and the site’s predictive board. There are no trades, just teams selecting in their current positions.
