5 best training camp battles for Bears in 2019

The Chicago Bears finished the 2018 season as the NFC’s third-seeded team, but they have their eyes on only one goal heading into 2019. The Super Bowl.

From top to bottom, the Chicago Bears have one of the NFL’s deepest rosters. Even after losing a few talented players this offseason, namely Adrian Amos and Bryce Callahan in the defensive backfield, the Bears look stronger than ever heading into the 2019 season.

After losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card round on a slightly blocked game-winning field goal attempt, the position battle at kicker looks like the most heated storyline in training camp this year. But the Bears have other critical position battles, including ones at wide receiver and running back that hold even more fantasy football relevance.

The sour taste of losing at the last second to the Eagles still lingers, so Matt Nagy’s Bears will undoubtedly be back with a vengeance in 2019. There’s every reason to believe that they will repeat as NFC North champions even with the improvements the rival Green Bay Packers made, but it won’t be an easy road to the Super Bowl in a loaded NFC.

That said, the Bears have the talent to go all the way, and here are five position battles to watch this summer as they gear up for a deep playoff run.
