Is Aaron Rodgers auditioning for Super Troopers 3?

The Green Bay Packers face the Oakland Raiders tonight in an international preseason game. Aaron Rodgers showed up looking the part in a Canadian tuxedo.

The Green Bay Packers face the Oakland Raiders in an international showpiece tonight, and Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers arrived in Canada in style.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has not said of Rodgers will play tonight or not, but Rodgers came prepared wearing a full Canadian tuxedo: A jean jacket, jeans and a bolo tie. Add in the mustache and he looks like he’s auditioning for Super Troopers 3.

Later in the day, he was joined by fullback Danny Vitale.

Rodgers, a seven-time Pro-Bowler, is no stranger to outrageous outfits. In August 2018, he dressed like a cowboy for a team luncheon, and has been known to do so on other occasions.

The Packers haven’t seen the playoffs since 2016 and look to bounce back this year under LaFleur’s direction. The relationship between Rodgers and LaFleur has been under scrutiny for some time, so it will be interesting to see the impact it has on the field. Whether they come to an agreement on how often Rodgers can audible or not remains to be seen. One thing is for certain, if they can’t get on the same page, the season is over before it starts.

They are 1-1 this preseason and hope to get another win tonight in Winnipeg. Rodgers has yet to play this preseason. In his place, the Packers have used DeShone Kizer, Tim Boyle and Manny Wilkins. They have combined for 333 yards and four touchdowns. If Rodgers doesn’t take the field tonight, then we likely won’t see him until the season opener against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 5.
