How you should bet every Week 3 NFL game

As you get ready to place your wagers for Week 3 of the NFL slate, here’s how you should bet each game.

We say it every year, but it’s Week 3 on the 2019 NFL schedule already. The 2-0 teams are optimistic, 0-2 teams might be ready to throw in the towel (or maybe some players on said teams are ready to throw in the towel), and 1-1 squads are somewhere in between.

Week 3 will begin with the annual Tennessee Titans-Jacksonville Jaguars Thursday night matchup. It’s as if the NFL forces whoever has the Thursday night slate of games, FOX/NFL Network in this case, to take on that epic AFC South rivalry. But at least it will be out of the way early this year.

Without further ado, let’s look at the best way to bet each game on the Week 3 NFL slate, starting with that Thursday night matchup.

Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars

The 1-1 Titans are 2.5 point favorites over the 0-2 Jaguars, with Titans’ quarterback Marcus Mariota (quad) banged up again on a short week. Mariota is expected to play after practicing in full during Tennessee’s first real session of work.

The spread here is naturally narrow for a division game. But the bet here is easy. With an over/under of 39.5 or 40, take the under all day and twice on a Thursday night.
