Bill Belichick gave a reporter the death stare over Antonio Brown (Video)

Bill Belichick has long been done answering questions about now ex-New England Patriots receiver Antonio Brown, which is why this reporter shouldn’t have asked it.

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has long been over answering numerous questions about now ex-wide receiver Antonio Brown.

So when CBS Sports reporter Dana Jacobson caught up with Belichick before their game against the New York Jets, it was in her heart to gather up the courage to ask Belichick “the question” about the Brown and his fallout from the Patriots.

In true Belichick style, he gave her the death stare, and said, in his soft, barely audible demeanor, that they were going to focus on the Jets.

In hindsight, why would Jacobson feel the need to ask Belichick a question about the disgraced Brown? Well, because she ha to. Not asking that question would be poor form, and Belichick needs to know better. Sure, it’s uncomfortable, but it was his choice to sign Brown in the first place.

Assuredly, Jacobson knew Belichick was not going to answer it, but she shot her shot. Belichick is a man of not many words, and asking him over-and-over again about the Brown situation was only going to make him say fewer words.

Brown has certainly derailed his career with his off-the-field antics. However, now that he’s no longer a part of the Patriots, Belichick is within his rights to not answer. The stare was a bit much, but certainly not surprising.

Really, what else can the Patriots do at this point? The Brown gamble proved to be a bust, but the Patriots still have the talent to get out of the AFC as long as the immortal Tom Brady stays healthy.

Now, for both Belichick and New England, it’s onto the Jets.
