Doesn’t it feel like the NFL season just started? No professional sports league seems to move faster than the NFL, which is already through three weeks as we wrap up September this weekend with a nearly full slate of NFL action.
We have reached the start of the bye weeks, with the 3-0 49ers and 0-3 Jets taking a seat, meaning there is one less game for bettors to invest in over the weekend. That is no matter, however, since there are still plenty of great games to gamble on in Week 4.
Let’s kick off our five best bets of the week, headlined by Daniel Jones and the Giants.
5. Giants -3
The Daniel Jones era is off to a rollicking start for the New York Giants, who looked like a much better football team against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the weekend. Yes, the Bucs cost themselves that game through their kicking woes, but that doesn’t take anything away from what Jones accomplished.
Jones led the Giants back from 18 down to win, making him the first quarterback to do that for New York in 49 years, and he became the first rookie signal caller to ever throw for 300 yards with two passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns in the same game.
That doesn’t bare well for the Washington Redskins, who looked bad against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football. A short week and a porous defense is a recipe for another Giants’ win, so lay the three here and get off to a good start in Week 4.
