Antonio Brown turns himself in to police

According to the latest reports, Antonio Brown has turned himself in to Florida police after a warrant was issued for his arrest earlier this week.

After having a warrant issued for his arrest earlier in the week, former NFL star wide receiver Antonio Brown has reportedly turned himself in to police, according to TMZ Sports.

TMZ Sports, which also broke the news about the arrest warrant, reports that he’s turned himself in to a Florida jail. Brown allegedly attacked the driver of a moving company truck and threw rocks at the truck on Tuesday over an argument about payment for a scheduled delivery to his home in Hollywood, Florida.

The driver claimed Brown was under the influence of drugs and attacked him to the point his shirt was torn and his shoulder was injured.

Glenn Holt, Antonio Brown’s trainer, was also arrested for his role in the incident on a felony burglary with assault or battery charge. He was bonded out of jail on Wednesday.

According to police, Brown was not arrested along with Holt because he locked himself in his home and the cops couldn’t get him to come back out. Brown will face charges of burglary with battery, burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and one count of criminal mischief.

Now that he’s turned himself in, he will be held in custody until Friday morning, when he will face a judge at his bond hearing.

Dating back to his final season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, it’s been nothing but a downhill spiral for what was once the NFL’s best wide receiver. Arguments with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, skipping practices, being benched in the wake of those missed practices and requesting a trade from a team where he thrived were just the beginning for Brown.

From not wearing proper footwear for a cryotherapy session to filing grievances over not being allowed to wear his old helmet to unexcused team absences, Brown’s tenure with the Oakland Raiders was nothing but rocky. They released him before his contract became guaranteed, but the hits would keep coming off the field.

He joined the New England Patriots for one game, but his arrival was immediately marred by rampant allegations of sexual misconduct and assault. The Pats cut him after more allegations were levied against him, and every new Antonio Brown headline has brought more negative press for the former wideout.

Hopefully this latest incident serves as a wake-up call for the troubled Brown to get whatever kind of help he needs.
