Cleveland Browns free agency 2020: Top 5 targets

Entering a season full of optimism, the Cleveland Browns fell flat in 2019. Now with a new staff, an offseason that looms rather large awaits them.

Winners, finally. This was what most fans of the Cleveland Browns thought they’d get from the team in 2019.

Baker Mayfield had a promising rookie season in 2018 and the Browns played to a record of 7-8-1. In the following offseason, then-general manager John Dorsey made a blockbuster trade to bring in receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and defensive end Olivier Vernon.

Under first-year head coach Freddie Kitchens, the Browns were one of the largest let downs in the NFL in 2019. Mired with inconsistencies and undisciplined play, the Browns ended the season with a record of 6-10.

Kitchens and Dorsey have since been fired or have moved on. Now, it’s up to head coach Kevin Stefanski and general manager Andrew Berry to fix this team. He has just over $50 million in available cap space currently.

Here are the five free agents he should lock in on.
