5. Lamar Jackson (92 OVR)
Lamar Jackson started the season off at launch with a 76 OVR rating. That is crazy to think about, as the league MVP ran through defenses like a hot knife through butter. Jackson has Ultimate Team cards that go up as far as 99 OVR, which are tough to come by.
Even the 92 OVR Jackson has been compared to Madden 04’s Michael Vick. Vick was one of the most unstoppable players in Madden history. He was quick, fast, and became the first player since Bo Jackson from Tecmo Bowl to be as dominate.
Well, finally in 2019-20, the world has found another player as dominant as Jackson and Vick, with a new Jackson, Lamar Jackson.
Jackson currently has a 96 OVR Speed and a 96 OVR Acceleration. He is one of the fastest players in the entire game while being the fastest quarterback on the regular roster. Jackson’s throw power is 92 OVR, with his Short-Throw Accuracy being a 92 OVR, Medium Throw Accuracy being an 83 OVR, and lastly, his Deep-Throw Accuracy being a 86 OVR.
If you want to throw on the run with Jackson, you can, as his Throw on the Run Accuracy being 94. He is a complete cheat code in Madden 20 if you’re playing backyard style football, a style I am a fan of in video games.
I believe as he gets older in the league, he will become a better passer. He has great ratings so far, but just imagine him in a few Madden’s down the line. If people believe he is the greatest all-around Madden player ever, he’s only going to get better as the years go on.
