Week 3 of the NFL season is here, with seven teams trying to get to 3-0, while a handful of others are hoping to keep hope alive.

New York Jets at Cleveland Browns (-3)
The NFL is willingly showcasing these two teams on national television. What have we done as a people to deserve this? Why? The Browns (0-1-1) and Jets (1-1)? Somehow, this will out-rate a World Series game.
Pick: Cleveland 20, New York 19
Buffalo Bills at Minnesota Vikings (-17)
It’s not too cold in Buffalo yet. This would be a fine weekend to take the kids to the zoo, or maybe take yourself to the local watering hole and just drown the pain. Either way, distract yourself, because the Vikings (1-0-1) are going to lay a fierce beating on the Bills (0-2).
Pick: Minnesota 34, Buffalo 3
Cincinnati Bengals at Carolina Panthers (-3)
This is quietly a very good game. The Panthers (1-1) are all kinds of banged up but need a win to keep pace in the brutal NFC South. Meanwhile, the Bengals (2-0) are trying to extend their lead in the AFC North. Should come down to the fourth quarter.
Pick: Carolina 21, Cincinnati 17
Denver Broncos at Baltimore Ravens (-5)
Hope you like defense. The Ravens (1-1) and Broncos (2-0) are both somewhat offensively challenged, but the defenses can play. This should be a low-scoring game with the difference being who can make the big plays, and who avoids turnovers.
Pick: Baltimore 24, Denver 20
Green Bay Packers (-3) at Washington Redskins
The Redskins (1-1) just lost at home to the Colts. Conversely, the Packers (1-0-1) tied with the Vikings and have to be furious. Not the best week to catch Green Bay, even if Aaron Rodgers is clearly more hurt than he is letting on.
Pick: Green Bay 27, Washington 19
