5 burning questions the Browns must answer in 2019

The Cleveland Browns appear to be back in a big way heading into the new season. However, what are the 5 burning questions the team must answer?

If Baker Mayfield begins the season as the team’s starting quarterback, then maybe we are talking about the Cleveland Browns coming off a playoff run last season. Instead, Mayfield came in during a Week 3 win against the New York Jets and officially took the job from Tyrod Taylor.

Mayfield starting under center signaled a change for the Browns as a franchise. John Dorsey took him with the No. 1 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, and Mayfield was pegged a franchise savior.

The team went 7-8-1 and made a push for the playoffs that came up short. There was a newfound energy surrounding the team, and this year that energy and excitement has been pumped up a few more notches.

Odell Beckham Jr. is now in town playing alongside former college teammate Jarvis Landry. Nick Chubb, Denzel Ward and Mayfield all played well as rookies and they’re now a year wiser. Myles Garrett made the Pro Bowl and this season he will play next to Sheldon Richardson and opposite side of Olivier Vernon.

Those are just some of the new additions that have been made by Dorsey. With an extremely talented roster, high expectations and mounting pressure, these are the five questions that the team must answer in 2019.
