NFL training camps will open within the next few weeks. Here are the 5 best positional battles to keep an eye on with the Cleveland Browns.

After a convincing 2018 season, and an offseason headlined by big moves this spring, the expectations are high for the Cleveland Browns heading into 2019.

Just about a year ago the Browns were the center of attention on HBO’s “Hard Knocks”. Now, it’s fair to say this team has even more hype around them.

John Dorsey shocked the NFL world when he landed Odell Beckham Jr. in a blockbuster trade this past offseason. The Browns’ general manager added to the team’s pass rush as well, trading for Olivier Vernon and signing Sheldon Richardson in free agency.

Baker Mayfield made the transition from the collegiate level to the professional ranks with minimal hiccups, Denzel Ward was a difference maker for the team’s defense right away, and first-year head coach Freddie Kitchens now has a plethora of talent to work with this year.

However, even with a locker room full of Pro Bowlers and future Hall of Fame players, Kitchens still needs answers in certain areas. Therefore, finding the starters for these specific roles or positions will be determined this summer during training camp.

Here are the five battles to watch this summer when the Browns open up camp.
