Bears fans melting down over Mitchell Trubisky on Twitter

The Chicago Bears are down to the Green Bay Packers at the half, and Bears’ fans aren’t very happy with the performance of quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.

It turns out going 12-4 and winning the NFC North title doesn’t mean much to Bears’ fans in regards to their faith in their starting quarterback. Mitchell Trubisky has had a rough first half, completing 10 passes for 73 yards, and has already taken three sacks over the first two quarters.

It may only be one half of the first game of the NFL’s 100th season, but Bears fans haven’t been shy about voicing their displeasure with their signal caller on Twitter. Check out some of the unhappy tweets below.

It’s safe to say that Trubisky has looked far more like a game manager than a third year quarterback poised to take a significant leap forward thus far, and that is a very frustrating showing for Bears’ fans. The Bears have a significant group of offensive weapons, headlined by Tarik Cohen, Allen Robinson, and Trey Burton but the unit won’t get far without a better showing from Trubisky.

The good news for the Bears and their fans is that this poor showing is an extremely small sample size, so there is plenty of season left for Trubisky to turn things around and get the Bears back to where they want to be. Fans can definitely be a bit fickle in terms of their support, so Trubisky could easily win back the Bears’ fans on Twitter with a strong showing in the second half.
