How you should bet every Week 10 NFL game

Each week we’ll look at The Action Network lines and over/unders and discuss how you should bet each game in the NFL.

Each week, FanSided looks at the odds for each NFL contest and gets you prepared to wager on each and every game.

We’ve talked about how this season in particular has been incredibly difficult to predict — and through seven weeks very little has occurred to curb that thesis.

Here is a short list of the Week 8 games we were way off about: We had the Packers crushing the Chargers in a game we’re not sure anyone predicted (26-11, LAC), though we did call the over; we had the Browns righting the ship over the Broncos and the under-39 and instead watched the Browns continue another collapse (24-19, Denver);  we had the Vikings over the Chiefs; and finally, we had the Colts over the Steelers in a pick ’em game and the under-43 and instead we watched Jacoby Brissett go down early and the Colts chances go down with him. But the over still hit with a backup and a third-string quarterback (26-24, Steelers).

We did hit on a few key bets though: we correctly called Miami beating the NY Jets (26-18, Dolphins); we had Philly covering (-5) over the Bears, and the under-43 in a game that saw the Bears continue to collapse (22-14, Eagles); and we had the Patriots losing their undefeated season to the Ravens in a game which saw the New England defense get burned (37-20, Ravens).

All told, we finished 15-12 in our predictions last week (no o/u was available at publication time for the Chiefs/Vikings game). Not great, but making money. Despite our best efforts, we’ll try to do better in a week that seems a little more clear cut in most instances.
