The Tennessee Titans have seven picks in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft. Here is their latest 2020 NFL mock draft. Who will they be taking this spring?

The Tennessee Titans are coming off a phenomenal run to the AFC Championship game last season. Though they came up short of reaching the Super Bowl for the second time in franchise history, to even get to the AFC Championship game when they were the No. 6 seed in the AFC could not be more impressive.

Despite going 9-7 for the fourth year in a row, the Titans look to be a team expected to win its division for the first time since 2008 next season. Tennessee has a formidable challenger in the Indianapolis Colts. The Houston Texans are expected to take a step back after trading away DeAndre Hopkins and we know the Jacksonville Jaguars are rebuilding behind Gardner Minshew.

After tagging running back Derrick Henry and signing quarterback Ryan Tannehill to a multi-year deal, the Titans will press on with their offseason plans heading into the 2020 NFL Draft. Tennessee has a typical allotment of seven picks this spring, but three of them will be coming in the seventh round. They need to hit on their three top-100 picks in the first three rounds.

Tennessee has primary draft needs out on the edge, at offensive tackle and at linebacker. The Titans’ secondary draft needs are at wide receiver, cornerback and center. Tertiary needs for the Titans in the upcoming draft are at quarterback, tight end, running back and another cornerback. Without further ado, here is the latest 2020 NFL mock draft for the Titans. Who will they take?

Josh Jones

The Titans already have an excellent left tackle in Taylor Lewan. Once he came back from his four-game suspension, that is when the Titans offense really started to take off. Lewan can be a great player, but he did lose his counterpart in free agency, as right tackle Jack Conklin signed with the Cleveland Browns after only four years in Nashville.

Fortunately for the Titans, this is a deep and talented offensive tackle draft. There will be at least half a dozen bookend offensive linemen who will be coming off the board in the first round this spring. One player who could be ripe for the picking at No. 29 overall in the latter part of the first round for the Titans to take is Josh Jones out of the University of Houston.

Jones is a giant at 6-foot-7 and 310 pounds. While his latter years playing for the Cougars were tumultuous from a team standpoint to say the very least, he and USC’s Austin Jackson are expected to go in that second wave of offensive tackles at the end of the first round. For both of these guys, that means they’ll end up going to teams who should be playoff viable in 2020.

With Tennessee expected to run the ball a bunch with Henry playing on the franchise tag, it is important for the Titans to have their offensive line firing on all cylinders. Jones might be better suited long-term to play left tackle, but it’s not like he’s going to usurp a proven veteran like Lewan on the depth. If they can work well together in unison, this could be a great pickup for the Titans.
