The Atlanta Falcons could be one of the most aggressive teams in the 2020 NFL Draft. Which players are the best fits as they look to rebound from a 7-9 campaign?

The Atlanta Falcons finished the 2019 season on a high note, winning their final four games and likely saving the jobs of their coaching staff. No one is safe heading into the 2020 season and as a result, the Falcons figure to be one of the 2020 NFL Draft’s most aggressive teams as they look to rebound and return to the playoffs.

Who will general manager Thomas Dimitroff and head coach Dan Quinn look to add in what will be an unprecedented draft due to the implications of COVID-19 around the world?

The latest draft rumors seem to point to the Falcons looking to trade up and one target they could be after is South Carolina’s Javon Kinlaw.

For a team in need of help all over the defense, Kinlaw is one of the most high-upside prospects in the class on that side of the ball due to his enormous potential.

Kinlaw’s size and body type is similar to that of Kansas City’s Chris Jones and there are many similarities to their game, as well. Kinlaw uses his outstanding length and power to dominate at the point of attack, whether as a pass rusher or holding up in the run game.

There are still some technical refinements, such as his tendency to play too upright or not staying square to the line of scrimmage against double-teams, but sign me up for the most talented defensive lineman in this class not named Derrick Brown.

Florida’s C.J. Henderson is another name to watch here but in this scenario, the Falcons lean on the strong connection between Dan Quinn and Will Muschamp to add a dynamic interior presence next to Grady Jarrett.
