Tom Brady’s first practice with Buccaneers will have Patriots fans crying in their clam chowder (Video)

New England Patriots, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

New uniform, new team, new city, but the same old Tom Brady.

It still doesn’t seem real, but Tom Brady is a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after spending all of his career with the New England Patriots.

But if you needed another reminder that the six-time Super Bowl champion is no longer in New England and is in fact a member of the Buccaneers, you got it on Wednesday when video surfaced of Brady’s training camp workout with his new club.

Tom Brady on the Buccaneers will take some getting used to.

This is going to take a lot of getting used to and without the preseason schedule this year, it’s definitely going to be jarring to see Brady in a Buccaneers jersey and not having Bill Belichick in his ear for four quarters.

The Patriots have moved on with former MVP Cam Newton and expectations are high for the former Carolina Panthers quarterback to lead the Patriots in Brady’s absence. But expectations haven’t been this high in Tampa Bay since Jon Gruden was coaching Tony Dungy‘s team more than two decades ago.

It feels like an eternity for Buccaneers fans who have had to witness basically every other NFL team, including perennial last-place finishers, the Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions make the playoffs while their season ended at Christmas.

But seeing Brady in a Buccaneers uniform and throwing to studs like Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and reuniting with Patriots teammate Rob Gronkowski who came out of retirement solely to play with his guy is enough to make fans cry tears of joy.

The tears coming out of New England are definitely tears of sadness. Kinda like when you see your ex in a new relationship with his or her new beau. You’re happy for the time you shared together but you wish it didn’t have to end and you’re not taking it easy when you stalk their Instagram to see pictures of them frolicking on vacation and making new memories together.
