Saivion Smith diagnosed with COVID-19, placed on reserve list.

A second Dallas Cowboys player has been placed on the COVID-19 reserve list according to the Dallas Morning News reserve cornerback, Saivion Smith, has reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus and will be placed on the reserve list.

Cowboys CB Saivion Smith tested positive Friday in team’s COVID-19 exam, source said. He’s asymptomatic. Was placed on Reserve/COVID-19 list today. Smith is second Cowboys player to be added to list, joining WR Jon’Vea Johnson. Not allowed into team facility for minimum one week.

He was tested on Friday and is without symptoms. He, along with wide receiver Jon’Vea Johnson, are the first two Cowboys players to have tested positive upon arrival to camp.

Both players will remain on reserve for at least a week and cannot come to camp until they test negative over a course of multiple tests.

Smith was signed to a two-year deal with the Cowboys in April and has yet to appear in a single NFL game.

The Cowboys is not the only team with positive players

The Cowboys are not the only team affected by COVID-19, the Detroit Lions place eight members on the reserve list and the NFL is still considered the future of the 2020 season.
