On Sunday, Gardner Minshew and Joe Burrow will face off in a showdown between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Cincinnati Bengals.
With Week 4 of the NFL season here, fans out there are surely excited to see two young, exciting quarterbacks go at it in Gardner Minshew and Joe Burrow. Come Sunday, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Cincinnati Bengals will square off, with the Jags looking to improve to 2-2.
As for the Bengals, Burrow is still looking to win his first game since being selected with the No. 1 overall pick. Will he and Cincinnati be able to take down Minshew and Jacksonville?
What to watch for in Jaguars-Bengals tilt
The quarterback battle will of course be an intriguing focus on Sunday. Minshew is now in his second campaign in the league and was given the keys to the offense after an impressive rookie season. Thus far in 2020, Minshew has thrown for 787 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions.
Minshew struggled in the Week 3 loss to the Dolphins, throwing for 275 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. In the previous two weeks, he had thrown for three touchdowns against both the Colts and Titans. Which Minshew will show up on Sunday?
Meanwhile for the Bengals, Burrow has shown flashes of brilliance early on during his rookie season. At the same time, he’s also shown his youth on several occasions. The former LSU Heisman Trophy winner has thrown for 821 yards, five touchdowns and one interception. He’s also rushed for 64 yards and added another score.
The Bengals will also look to feed star running back Joe Mixon the ball early and often against the Jacksonville defense. When he’s able to get into a rhythm running the ball, he’s tough to slow down. Establishing the run game will be crucial for the Bengals against the Jaguars.
