The Seattle Seahawks look to remain undefeated, but have to get past a dynamic Arizona Cardinals offense.
Week 7 will feature arguably the most exciting contest in the NFC. The undefeated Seattle Seahawks look to improve their record to 6-0, but they’ll have to out-duel the explosive offense of the rival Arizona Cardinals.
The Seahawks are coming off their designated bye week. Their last game ironically came on “Sunday Night Football,” where they pulled off a last-second victory over the Minnesota Vikings. The Seahawks return to Sunday night primetime, after the league relegated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Las Vegas Raiders game due to COVID-19 concerns on the latter team.
Russell Wilson has been the favorite to win the NFL MVP award at the end of this season, because he’s literally put the team on his back. It certainly helps that he has a receiving corps consisting of D.K. Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and David Moore. Seattle’s passing offense ranks as the fourth-best in the entire NFL (280.4 yards/game), and they face a Cardinals defense that has allowed 226.5 yards per game and nine touchdowns through five games.
The Cardinals have the chance to pull off a monumental upset this week, and it will only happen with the help of their offense. Quarterback Kyler Murray will have his full arsenal of weapons on Sunday, as star receiver DeAndre Hopkins has been cleared to play after missing a large chunk of practice due to an ankle injury. You can expect the Cardinals offense to feast, as they face a Seahawks defense that ranks dead-last against the pass (370.4 yards/game). But Arizona will have to be careful, because even though Seattle surrenders a ton of yardage, they’ve only given up eight touchdowns through the air and forced seven interceptions.
