Before you lock your lineup in, here are five players primed for breakouts in Week 8.
Let’s get the important stuff out of the way early. First, which teams go on bye in Week 8? The Washington Football Team, Arizona Cardinals, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Houston Texans.
Fortunately for most fantasy football participants, these teams do not carry a large quantity of highly rostered players. You will need to find substitutes for quarterbacks Deshaun Watson and Kyler Murray. As well as DeAndre Hopkins, and potentially other players such as Brandin Cooks, David Johnson and James Robinson.
Of course, in deeper leagues, you may be starting more than just the players named above. Although, those are the big names most fantasy general managers will be replacing for Week 8.
There are a few favorable matchups to pinpoint this week, meaning you should look into rostering players from games such as the Las Vegas Raiders vs. Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs vs. New York Jets, and the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys, just to name a few.
Week 8 essentially marks the halfway point of the NFL regular-season campaign. Before you know it, Week 17 will be here. In order to be hopefully celebrating a fantasy football title at that time, here are five players to help you take a win in Week 8 to get one step closer to that goal.
