With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hoping to win the Lombardi Trophy, there are multiple players who may never get this close to the Super Bowl again.

What an incredible run it has been this postseason for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Defying the odds, the Bucs have won three consecutive road games, highlighted by the NFC Championship Game win over Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.

With that being said, there are several guys who likely won’t be back with the team next season, meaning their best chance to win a Super Bowl is coming up this February. Here’s a look at three guys who better hope the Bucs can get things done against Kansas City.

3. LeSean McCoy, RB

Last July, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers decided to bring in some help for Tom Brady by signing former standout running back LeSean McCoy. Best known as ‘Shady,’ McCoy inked a one-year contract with the Bucs. It feels like a virtual lock the team won’t be offering him a new deal for 2021.

This season, McCoy has rarely seen the field, rushing the ball only 10 times for 31 yards, while adding 15 receptions for 101 yards. Those numbers tell you that McCoy has barely been involved in the offense, with Ronald Jones being the starter and Leonard Fournette serving as the clear backup.

When Jones was sidelined with a thumb injury/COVID-19, Fournette stepped in and showcased some of the same power running we saw from him with the Jags and while he was at LSU. No one has forgotten about his insane touchdown run in the win over Green Bay.

McCoy has been riding the bench throughout the year and that’s not going to change for the Super Bowl. He’ll be leaving town at the end of this season. However, if he’s lucky, he’ll be able to do so with a Super Bowl ring as well.
