The franchise from Foxborough has been highly aggressive this offseason and seems determined to prove the dynasty isn’t over.

It was odd not seeing Bill Belichick’s club in the postseason in 2020. Of course, since winning Super Bowl LIII in 2018 and opening 8-0 in ’19, the New England Patriots own a combined 11-14 in their last 25 contests –including a home playoff loss to the Titans along the way.

Following a disappointing 7-9 showing this past year and a losing record for the first time since 2000, the franchise was very aggressive this offseason, brought back a few familiar faces from successes past and added some quality free agents thanks to some heavy spending.

The following list includes three of the team’s younger players and a pair of newcomers who joined the club in March.

It’s been somewhat of a rough start for the 23rd overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Tackle Isaiah Wynn missed his rookie season due to injury and has been limited to a total of 19 games and starts (including a playoff tilt in ’19).

But that’s not to say that 2021 couldn’t be his year. The club brought back veteran tackle Trent Brown, who signed with the Raiders in ’19 but has now returned to Foxborough via trade. It will be interesting to see if he returns to the left side and Wynn moves to the right. Brown has experience at both and more significantly his return to the franchise gives the 25-year-old blocker someone to learn from. And if Wynn can stay healthy…
