Dallas Cowboys, NFL Draft

Dallas’ fifth-round pick Simi Fehoko was destined to be a Cowboy thanks to early Halloween costume (Photo)

Stanford football star Simi Fehoko was clearly destined to play for the Dallas Cowboys.

After being taken in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys, Stanford football standout Simi Fehoko shared a picture of his first Halloween costume, signifying it was fate.

Fehoko dressed up as a Cowboys player as a little guy. While it common for little boys and girls to dress up as their favorite athletes or support their favorites teams on Halloween, it is so cool that Fehoko and his family had this picture ready at their disposal after he was drafted Saturday. The Cowboys are “America’s Team”, but not everybody is lucky enough to be drafted by the Cowboys.

This is one of those precious family photos that will make your heart melt.

Dallas Cowboys: Simi Fehoko was destined to play for “America’s Team”

Dallas went defense-heavy with its first six draft selections this spring. This makes a ton of sense with former Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn coming over to coordinate the underwhelming defense for Mike McCarthy. However, Dallas could not help themselves in the latter part of the draft anyway and drafted another wide receiver. Then again, this halloween costume is pretty cool.

For the Cowboys to win the NFC East this season, Dallas needs franchise quarterback Dak Prescott to be healthy, as well as the defense to buy into what Quinn is selling. His former team never really became elite defensively during his five-plus years in Flowery Branch. Even before adding Fehoko to the mix, the Cowboys had one of the better rosters in the division anyway.

You better believe if Fehoko makes a play in prime time, this photo will be circulating once again.
