Kwon Alexander

LB New Orleans Saints

Kwon Alexander can totally wreck an offense, but he has to be healthy first

It was not all that long ago that Kwon Alexander was a Pro Bowl linebacker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While he had a breakout season of sorts in 2017, it has been a struggle for him to stay healthy in his NFL career. Alexander split the 2020 season between the San Francisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints, making 12 combined starts. Hard to believe he is only 26-years-old.

Trai Turner

G Los Angeles Chargers

Trai Turner was a great interior offensive lineman with the Carolina Panthers

Trai Turner had been a sensational interior offensive lineman during his six-year run with the Carolina Panthers. He made five straight trips to the Pro Bowl from 2015-2019. However, he was not part of Matt Rhule’s rebuilding plans in Charlotte. After nine starts last year for the 2020 Los Angeles Chargers, Turner is on the open market again, this time entering his age-28 season.

For Alexander, it is all about getting his health squared away. Though he may be too far gone at this point of his career, he is worth a gamble heading into 2021.

As for Turner, it is all about scheme fit. He has been a premium player at a nondescript position for a long time. If he wants to play this season, he will end up making a 53-man roster.
