The Los Angeles Chargers chose a unique way to release their schedule — by comparing their opponents to Pop-Tarts.

Wednesday might as well feel like a holiday for NFL fans, because the entire 2021 schedule is set to be released throughout the day. While many fans are looking forward to the schedules, others are anticipating the team’s special reveals on social media to see who had the best one. So far, the Los Angeles Chargers are the early favorites.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Chargers decided to troll their 2021 opponents by comparing them to Pop-Tarts on a Twitter thread that was anything but flattering.

Los Angeles’ social media team was just ruthless with their comparisons on Wednesday afternoon. They trolled their division rivals viciously while also poking fun at the Pittsburgh Steelers’ and JuJu Smith-Schuster with their knock towards TikTok. No team was safe.

Los Angeles entered this offseason looking to build a contender around franchise quarterback Justin Herbert. General manager Tom Telesco provided Herbert with a plethora of help by signing center Corey Linsley and tight end Jared Cook, while drafting his blindside blocker for the foreseeable future in Rashawn Slater in the first-round.

The AFC West team enter the 2021 season with a strength of schedule ranked 17th in the league (.493). While they have winnable games against the likes of the Cincinnati Bengals and Philadelphia Eagles, they have to contend with contending teams like the Cleveland Browns and the Chiefs (twice).

Los Angeles showed just how confident they were heading into the 2021 season by savagely trolling their opponents. Los Angeles was not afraid to dish it out, but expect clap-backs from these respective teams if they get the upper hand over the AFC West squad.
