Summer intern Peyton Manning likely in for a promotion after revealing Broncos schedule

The Denver Broncos found the perfect way to reveal their 2021 schedule. They pawned the job off to summer intern Peyton Manning.

Former Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has found plenty of ways to stay busy since his retirement in 2015.

The two-time Super Bowl champion and five-time MVP has done a million commercials and secured his enshrinement in the NFL Hall of Fame.

Now he’s helping the Broncos announce their 2021 NFL schedule.

Check out Manning’s cameo appearance as a summer intern:

The new schedule opens with a road game against the New York Giants before being one of the first teams to take on new Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence. The home opener is slated for Sept. 26 against the New York Jets. The Broncos will face their normal challenges against division rivals the Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs. They’ll also take on the AFC North and NFC East.

Peyton Manning was the perfect choice for a Broncos schedule reveal

It’s fitting to have Manning involved in the reveal for the upcoming season when the Broncos might be looking to pull off a quarterback acquisition to rival his own in 2012.

When the Indianapolis Colts released Manning after drafting Andrew Luck, Denver won the sweepstakes to sign him up. The move paid off for John Elway and company as Manning led the team to a Super Bowl appearance in his second year. He then went out on top at the end of the 2015 season with a win in Super Bowl 50.

The Broncos could relive that glory if they manage to successfully pursue Aaron Rodgers this year.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback wants out of Green Bay, and Denver is one of the teams he’s reportedly interested in joining.

The 2021 season already carries the usual amount of intrigue, but excitement would be off the charts if Rodgers followed in Manning’s footsteps.
