Julio Jones working out with Derrick Henry only adds to the rumors of him being traded to the Tennessee Titans.
Even though Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones and Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry hail from the same alma mater, that does not stop rumors of Jones being traded to the Titans simply because they were seen working out together.
Jones spent his entire 10-year NFL career since being the No. 6 overall pick by the Falcons in the 2011 NFL Draft. While Atlanta traded up to get him, Henry fell to the Titans in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, despite him coming off a Heisman Trophy-winning season in Tuscaloosa. This may just be two Alabama boys working out, but the internet is looking for a deeper meaning here.

Tennessee Titans: Julio Jones spotted working out with Derrick Henry
What is there to learn from this offseason workout featuring two Alabama legends? Maybe not much, but it is something. Even though their college careers did not overlap, one could easily argue Jones and Henry are the two greatest players of the Nick Saban era of Alabama football. Jones is a lock for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, while Henry will be after two or three more good seasons.
Though Jones may be unhappy in Atlanta, it should be noted that his new head coach Arthur Smith used to be Henry’s offensive coordinator in Nashville. While these two NFL stars play different positions, they are very cerebral players who are always looking for an edge to get the most out of their craft. As it usually is back in Tuscaloosa, this may just be a case of iron sharpening iron here.
Jones could be traded to the Titans, but this workout video is merely that and not much more.
