Former UCLA football head coach, San Francisco 49ers GM and College Football Hall of Famer Terry Donahue passed away on July 4 at 77 years old.
The football world lost a cherished figure with the passing of Terry Donahue.
The former UCLA football coach, who won five Pac-12 titles with the Bruins, was 77.
According to a press release from UCLA, Donahue passed surrounded by his family after a two-year battle with cancer.

Donahue spent 20 years coaching the Bruins compiling a 141-74-8 record as a head coach. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2000. He is also in the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame and UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame.
He was the first person to appear in the Rose Bowl as a player, assistant coach and head coach. He did all three with the Bruins.
After leaving UCLA, he went into broadcasting and took a front office role with the San Francisco 49ers. He served as the team’s general manager from 2001 to 2005.
