Marshawn Lynch proves he’s a national treasure with Kraken Expansion Draft pick (Video)

Former Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch proved once again he’s a gift to the sports world with his Kraken Expansion Draft pick.

Marshawn Lynch is a national treasure. His appearance at the NHL Kraken Expansion Draft only proves that.

The Kraken called upon the ex-Seahawk to announce their selection from the Nashville Predator. Since the name was something quite a ways from “Joe Smith,” Lynch put his own spin on it instead of trying for a correct pronunciation.

The result was Beast Mode magic.

“We going with the Boy Boy Calle,” Lynch said. “Calle, if I didn’t pronounce it right, tap in with me and let me know how to do it the right way, big dog.”

Who needs their name pronounced right when they’ve got the video of Lynch being that cool?

Calle Jarnkrok is a 29-year-old right wing from Sweden. He played for the Predators for eight seasons, scoring 13 goals in the 2020-21 season. He’s had six straight seasons with double-digit goals.

Now he’ll start a new phase of his career with the Kraken as they begin their NHL journey.

Lynch’s NFL career ended back in 2019 at the age of 33. The five-time Pro Bowler was a terror on the field, dragging defenders along for a ride at every opportunity. He racked up 10,413 career yards while scoring 85 touchdowns and maintaining an average of 4.2 yards per carry.

The best years of Lynch’s career came with the Seattle Seahawks, where he played from 2011-15. He came back for a single game in 2019 after spending two seasons in Oakland.

As a quirky figure, Lynch endeared himself to Seahawks fans and football fans across the nation. It’s great to see him enjoying himself off the football field.
