The Dallas Cowboys have made a move in the secondary, signing cornerback Kyron Brown to a two-year deal.
With the Dallas Cowboys getting training camp underway, the team isn’t done making some moves to put them in a competitive position for the 2021 season. This was the case on Sunday afternoon, with the team adding a youngster for the cornerbacks room.
Per Adam Schefter, Dallas has agreed to a two-year contract with former New York Jets defensive back Kyron Brown. Brown, 25, signed with the Jets in 2019 as an undrafted free agent, but was released by the team in May. Now, he’s headed to Dallas.

Despite going undrafted, Brown worked his tail off and ended up appearing in three games for the Jets in ’19, starting one. He finished that season with five total tackles. Brown missed all of 2020 after being placed by the Jets on the PUP list.
After a year off the field, Brown is now getting another shot with the Cowboys. He’ll now head to training camp in hopes of not only making noise there, but also doing more than enough to make sure he’s on the 53-man roster for Week 1.
The Cowboys are coming off a 2020 to forget, which saw them miss the postseason. With that said, Dak Prescott is back to full health following his fractured ankle and he’ll be ready to power the offense like usual.
Defensively, the Cowboys will surely need to step things up from last year if they want to have a shot of winning the NFC East. Brown may not be a superstar player in this league, but he’ll be ready to help coach Mike McCarthy in any way he can do get the job done.
