Le’Veon Bell’s Chiefs revenge will have to wait — he wasn’t activated off the Baltimore Ravens practice squad despite their need for running back depth.
Bell had a lot to say about his brief stint with the would-be AFC Champions, specifically detailing how he didn’t like playing for Andy Reid. That’s likely related to the fact that he didn’t get much playing time in the first place.
“I’ll never play for Andy Reid again… I’d retire first,” Bell said.
The now-Ravens running back still believes he deserves a starting opportunity, despite no one giving him that chance time and time again since he left the New York Jets.

Reid did Bell a favor, and told him his unfortunate NFL reality. He hasn’t taken kindly to that, specifically stating that he has to stop playing for offensive-minded coaches.
“lol the only difference with the steelers was they gave me opportunity… haven’t had that since I left, I probably need to play for a defensive minded head coach instead of these offensive minded guru’s,” Bell tweeted.
Bell went on to say he’ll sign somewhere when he’s ready, which he did in Baltimore. Theoretically, he should have an opportunity there given the injury to JK Dobbins. John Harbaugh either doesn’t think he’s ready, or that he’s good enough to contribute to this offense just yet.
Frankly, Bell doesn’t deserve a Chiefs revenge in the first place. He got playing time and didn’t perform on one of the best offenses in NFL history. What more does he want?
The Steelers — or any team, really — is going to give him a starting job right now. He hasn’t been that player for a very long time.
