Chiefs activate Clyde Edwards-Helaire from IR for Cowboys game

The Kansas City Chiefs have to be looking forward to having Clyde Edwards-Helaire available for their game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Looks like the Kansas City Chiefs received some pretty encouraging injury news surrounding Clyde Edwards-Helaire as he’s now off the IR ahead of the Chiefs upcoming game against the Dallas Cowboys.

As the Chiefs prepare to host the Cowboys, Edwards-Helaire is apparently finally healthy enough to potentially return to action for Kansas City.

According to a tweet from the NFL Network’s James Palmer, Edwards-Helaire should be good to go for the Chiefs in their home game against the Cowboys.

That’s huge news for the Chiefs because of how good Dallas has been this season.

Edwards-Helaire hasn’t played for the Chiefs since their game against the Buffalo Bills back in Week 5. While he wasn’t exactly having a huge impact for the Chiefs while he played earlier this year, he has occasionally shown some potential.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire injury update: Kansas City Chiefs move Clyde Edwards-Helaire off IR

So far this season, Edwards-Helaire has run for 304 yards off of 65 carries and caught eight passes for 61 yards. In Kansas City’s games against the Los Angeles Chargers and the Philadelphia Eagles, Edwards-Helaire happened to run for 202 yards on 31 carries.

If Kansas City can get that sort of performance out of their young running back, they’ll be in a pretty good spot as they take on one of the best teams in the NFL this season.
