Urban Meyer disrespected Ohio State with classless postgame handshake (Video)

It looks like Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer didn’t enjoy losing to Mike Vrabel and the Tennessee Titans Sunday afternoon.

It’s generally never fun to lose. That’s not an activity most people happen to enjoy. It’s also generally not a lot of fun to lose a lot either. But that’s exactly what Urban Meyer and the Jacksonville Jaguars have been doing this season.

Meyer most recently lost to one of his former assistant coaches from his time as the head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes, and that appears to have hurt Meyer’s pride a bit. However, Meyer’s refusal to even acknowledge Mike Vrabel’s existence after the Jaguars got shutout by the Tennessee Titans is a really bad look.

Meyer refusing to give Vrabel an ounce of respect also isn’t exactly great from an Ohio State perspective. While many Buckeye fans are still frond of Meyer despite the controversies and scandals, plenty of people there will forever love what Vrabel achieved for the Buckeyes.

Vrabel had an incredible career at Ohio State, earning him a spot on the Ohio State All-Century Team in 2000. In 2012, Vrabel was put in the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame.

Meyer won a lot of games with the Buckeyes and brought them a national championship, but for someone who seemingly loves Ohio State, it’s weird that he’d disrespect an Ohio State legend.

Given how the Jaguars keep losing and Meyer keeps drawing attention for all the wrong reasons, it’s probably time for Jacksonville to just move on.
