Lamar Jackson officially ruled out for Ravens showdown with Packers

The uphill climb for the Baltimore Ravens just got tougher with the news that Lamar Jackson has been ruled out against the Packers.

If the Baltimore Ravens go on to somehow stun the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, they’ll have to do so without star signal-caller Lamar Jackson. In last week’s loss, the Baltimore signal-caller went down with an ankle injury.

There was hope that Jackson would be able to rock going up against Aaron Rodgers and Co., but that won’t happen. Moments ago, Baltimore announced that Jackson has officially been ruled out for this highly-anticipated matchup.

Lamar Jackson will miss the Ravens-Packers game due to his ankle injury

This of course is a bummer for Baltimore. This is a completely different squad whenever Jackson is on the field making plays with his right arm, but also his incredible wheels. With Jackson ruled out for this showdown, backup quarterback Tyler Huntley will be getting the start for John Harbaugh.

In the loss to the Browns last weekend, Huntley did show some flashes of strong play, as he completed 27-of-38 passes for 270 yards and a touchdown pass, which went to stud tight end Mark Andrews. With that said, there’s no denying Jackson is the superior talent for this team.

Now, Huntley is going to have his hands full trying to keep pace with Rodgers and the mighty Green Bay offense. This could end up being a long day for Baltimore and its fans.
