The Dallas Cowboys utterly routed the Washington Football Team on Sunday Night Football producing comedic gold from Twitter.
By the end of the first quarter, Dallas was already up 21-0. A touchdown with five seconds remaining in the second quarter made it 42-7 at halftime.
To call Monday Night Football a rout would mean downplaying the absolute demolition. It was never close.
Fortunately for everyone who isn’t a WFT fan, that left plenty of time for NFL Twitter to have fun with the game.

The Cowboys were so far ahead in the second half after a blocked punt returned for a touchdown, they were able to put backup quarterback Cooper Rush in and even he led a scoring drive to make it 56-7.
When he left the game, Dak Prescott had 330 yards and four touchdowns to his name.
Dallas didn’t need the victory to win the NFC East. They wrapped that up earlier in the day when the Raiders beat the Broncos, resulting in a tiebreaker turning towards the Cowboys instead of the Eagles.
Clearly, they didn’t let the celebration of the division title get in the way of an impressive performance. There is still plenty to play for. If Dallas wins out they have the chance of taking the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
