Tyrann Mathieu is amped up for Chiefs’ Super Bowl run

The Kansas City Chiefs are gearing up to get back to the Super Bowl and it looks like Tyrann Mathieu is ready to compete for a title.

Tyrann Mathieu sure seems ready for the Kansas City Chiefs to make a run to the Super Bowl. And, in all honesty, who in his position wouldn’t be ready for yet another shot at a Super Bowl?

Of course, before Mathieu made it clear that he was looking forward to competing for a championship with the Chiefs, one of his tweets seemed to show that he was ready to leave Kansas City.

Mathieu responded to a Kansas City fan who expressed frustration with the way some in the fanbase may take the talented defensive back for granted. And Mathieu’s response is definitely something that caught the eyes of many.

But while Mathieu’s initial tweet seemed to indicate that he’d be looking to leave Kansas City, he has since clarified and explained what he was trying to say. And what he meant to say will probably sit a lot better with Chiefs fans.

The Chiefs have greatly benefitted from having Mathieu help improve their defense and provide experienced guidance and leadership. His presence makes this team’s defense better and he’s someone who would be welcomed by a multitude of NFL fanbases.

When he’s on the field, the 29-year-old safety is still very productive and is dangerous in coverage.

At the moment, Mathieu is still working on recovering from a concussion, which is never any fun. It remains to be seen if he’ll be back for the Chiefs’ game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
