It didn’t take long for Antonio Brown to reclaim the headlines, and his latest claim to fame isn’t as surprising as it initially seemed.
In a partnership only destined to end in tragedy, two of pop culture’s most misunderstood men have joined forces to take the sports world by storm. While Kanye West can make the claim to being a misunderstood genius, his decision to anoint Antonio Brown the new president of Donda Sports Agency questions Ye’s ability to reason.
But AB is undeterred, making a bold claim to buy the Denver Broncos with Donda Sports.

It’s not unreasonable to imagine Kanye West making a bid to buy the available NFL franchise. The Brian Flores lawsuit has painfully reminded the world that the league still doesn’t have a Black owner, and West is one of the wealthiest Black leaders in the world with a reported $6.6 billion net worth.
There are other contenders interested in buying the team, including media mogul Byron Allen. According to Allen, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and New England Patriots owner Robert encouraged Allen to consider buying an NFL team in 2019.
Rumors continue to circulate that famous former Broncos Peyton Manning and John Elway could be involved in potential ownership groups, but for now, the bidding is open, and Kanye and AB seem to be stepping into the ring.
Even if Kanye could afford to buy the Broncos, new owners in the league have to be accepted and approved by all of the other owners. Antonio Brown has scorned several of those NFL owners at this point, and even if those owners were willing to look past that, both Brown and West fail to have the quiet, low-key profiles typical of most NFL owners. Even though Colts owner Jim Irsay doesn’t even fit that description, his team was passed down from his father.
If West and Brown were seriously interested in buying an NFL team, they would have to start playing by the NFL’s rules — and that’s as unlikely as Brown humbly addressing his behavior the past few month.
