NFL fans on Twitter are letting the Cleveland Browns have it for cutting Odell Beckham Jr.
The first player to hit pay dirt in Super Bowl 56 was none other than former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
Beckham’s tenure in Cleveland did not end on good terms. He ended up with the Los Angeles Rams in the second half of the season, replacing the injured Robert Woods in their receiving corps. With Matthew Stafford finding him in one-on-one coverage vs. Cincinnati Bengals defensive back Mike Hilton, Beckham scored the first touchdown of the ballgame. Browns fans cried a little inside.
Even his former Browns and college teammate Jarvis Landry knew the ball was going to him there.

Beckham always had this in him, but did not have the best rapport with Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield.
With a new signal-caller rifling him the ball in Stafford, things took a major turn for the better once Beckham joined the Rams midway through the 2021 NFL season.
Though Beckham may only be a short-term rental for the Rams, he can win a Super Bowl with them if they can keep the Bengals at bay on Sunday night.
Ultimately, Beckham was never a great fit in Cleveland. He thrives playing in a big market and for a team where he can be a star. Though the Browns have a great roster, they typically win games with a punishing rushing attack and a timely defense. While Beckham was a good teammate for a bit in Cleveland, him falling out with his former starting quarterback is why he is in Los Angeles.
If the Rams go on to win Super Bowl 56, look for Beckham to play a big part in that victory.
