Von Miller dedicates Super Bowl 56 win to fallen Broncos teammate Demaryius Thomas

In an awesome move, Von Miller dedicated the Super Bowl 56 win for the Rams to Demaryius Thomas.

For the second time in his storied career, pass-rusher Von Miller has lifted the Lombardi Trophy. This time around, Miller was able to get the job done with the Los Angeles Rams, who took down the Bengals on Sunday.

Miller was quite emotional after the final whistle and he let everyone know who was on his mind after the win: Demaryius Thomas. Thomas tragically passed away in December at only 33 years old. Miller let his fans know that he’s dedicating the Super Bowl win to Thomas in what’s a special moment for him and Thomas’ family.

“I don’t think I’ve ever played for more in my career,” Miller said after the win. “I was playing for D.T. (Thomas), he passed away suddenly in December. I was playing for my son, he was born in August. I was playing for (sports psychologist) Trevor Moawad, he passed away after the very first game of the season.”

Miller and Thomas suited up for the Broncos from 2011-2018. The two created countless memories together, none better than winning the Super Bowl with Denver back in 2016. Miller took home Super Bowl MVP honors that season.

When it was announced in December that Thomas had passed away, Miller was understandably devastated. The two were good friends together in Denver and remained in contact over the years.

That’s why it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Miller had his friend in his heart during the biggest game of the year. The Rams were able to win a thriller and Miller has his second Super Bowl ring on the way, dedicating this one to Thomas.
