Woods was made available by Los Angeles due to the team signing Robinson to a three-year, $45 million contract. The Titans were in need of a new wide receiver after the team cut Julio Jones following an injury-plagued 2021 campaign. Thus, a deal was made between both teams.

The Rams signed Woods in the 2017 league year, and has been a steady and consistent presence in Sean McVay’s offense over the years. But midway through the 2021 season, Woods suffered a torn ACL after nine games. From there, the offense was was centered around Cooper Kupp and late-season signing Odell Beckham Jr. The Rams won the Super Bowl while Woods was sidelined.

In his four years in Los Angeles, Woods caught 367-of-552 targets for 4,626 yards and 23 touchdowns through 68 games (67 starts).

As mentioned earlier, the team tried adding Jones in their offense this past season after trading a 2022 second-round pick and a 2023 fourth-rounder to the Atlanta Falcons. Jones played in just 10 games, catching 31-of-48 passes for 434 yards and one touchdown.

Now, Tennessee acquires Woods, who slots in as the WR-2 on the team’s depth chart behind AJ Brown.
