Could Dolphins next big move be to steal Tom Brady from Tampa Bay?

Dale Arnold of NESN said that he would not be surprised if Tom Brady were to play for the Miami Dolphins this season.

The Miami Dolphins have made some huge news in the past week. They signed former New Orleans Saints left tackle Terron Armstead to a lucrative deal and traded for Kansas City Chiefs star wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Could the Dolphins have one more big move upcoming.

Well, Dale Arnold of NESN said that he “wouldn’t be surprised” if Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady were to play for Miami in 2022. Additionally, Arnold says that the two sides are “working on it,” but they may not get a deal done.

Dolphins planning to steal Tom Brady to Buccaneers?

One thing to note is that Arnold was one of the first to report that Brady to the Buccaneers have agreed to terms on a deal in 2020.

Just imagine the roller coaster of emotions this offseason has been regarding Brady. He retired after Tampa lost to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Divisional Round. A little over a month later, Brady shocks the world by ending his retirement to rejoin the Buccaneers.

Given how this offseason has gone, Brady going to the Dolphins would not be a shock. Come on, look at everything that has happened heading into and throughout the 2022 league year. Anything is possible.

Whether a deal between the Buccaneers and Dolphins actually comes to fruition remains to be seen. As of this writing, Tua Tagovailoa is likely to start for Miami heading into the 2022 season with a brand new offense under head coach Mike McDaniel, with new players like Hill, Cedrick Wilson, Chase Edmonds and Raheem Mostert. If not Tagovailoa, it will be Teddy Bridgewater.
