Rob Gronkowski is known for speaking his mind and he did not hold back on his thoughts about the New England Patriots during his appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show.

Rob Gronkowski, of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and talked about coming out of retirement and his experience of players being left in the game to get their performance bonuses. When answering the question, Gronk took a jab at his former team, the New England Patriots.

Gronkowski was drafted by the Patriots in 2010 and stayed with the team for nine seasons, winning three rings. He retired from the NFL in 2019, citing multiple injuries and no desire to play football anymore as his reason. Gronk would only be retired for 13 months, before joining Tom Brady as a Buccaneer.

How Much was Rob Gronkowski’s Catch Bonus?

In the Buccaneers’ final game against the Carolina Panthers, Gronk needed seven catches to receive a $1 million signing bonus. Brady being the amazing teammate that he is, made sure to get Gronkowski his cash.  Brady was seen targeting Gronk throughout the game. At one point, the Buccaneers had tried to take Brady out of the game but he said no, and stayed in the game to make sure Gronkowski had made his final catch.

Before making his seventh catch, Gronk was heard joking about “having to get a real job if he did not get his final catch.

Thank goodness for Brady because fans would have missed seeing Gronk on the field.
