During those times, some players came and went. Some contributed to those winnings and others you may not have realized were even on the team.

Here are three players you may have forgotten were once a Cowboy.

3. Keyshawn Johnson (2004-2005)

The NY Jets drafted Keyshawn Johnson as the No.1 pick in the1996 draft. He played with the Jets for four seasons, before being traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After four seasons with the Buccaneers, he was traded to the Cowboys.  Johnson’s stint with the Cowboys began in 2004. He was only with the Cowboys for two seasons but managed to get a total of 1,820 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. He was eighth in the league in third-down receptions during the 2006 season.

Johnson was released by the Cowboys in 2006. Releasing Johnson allowed them to avoid paying him $1.1. million bonus he was due and make room for the signing of Terrell Owens.
