Philadelphia Eagles, Tennessee Titans

A.J. Brown deletes tweet blaming Titans front office for trade to Eagles

Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown deleted a tweet meant for fans, suggesting he did not want to be traded to the Eagles.

Brown’s frown was quickly turned upside down, however, as he signed a lucrative new contract to remain in Philadelphia for the foreseeable future.

All is right with the world, especially in the city of brotherly love.

The former Titans wide receiver apparently did not want a trade away from Tennessee and quarterback Ryan Tannehill, but the two sides could not come to an agreement on a new deal. Because of this, the Titans pulled a Chiefs with Tyreek Hill, or Packers with Davante Adams — whichever you prefer.

It’s tough to blame the Titans for taking that trade, as they received a first-round selection and a future third-round pick.

Brown would sign his contract with the Eagles shortly thereafter.

What did A.J. Brown tweet about the Titans?

Brown tweeted — and then deleted — that he did not mean for this trade to happen. Instead, he blamed Tennessee’s front office for not giving him the contract he wanted.

He quickly deleted said tweet, only to suggest he was excited for his new journey in Philly shortly thereafter — this sounded sincere of course. The money helps.

Brown and Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts have a history, as they were working out together just last week. Suddenly, Hurts has one of the better receiving corps in the NFC, with A.J. and DeVonta Smith leading the way.

Can Philadelphia translate that success on offense to challenging for the NFC East? Watch out, Dallas.
