Watch: Make-A-Wish kid Sam Prince announcing Giants pick of Kayvon Thibodeaux steals show at NFL Draft

Make a Wish kid Sam Prince stole the show when announcing the New York Giants’ selection of Oregon pass rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux.

The New York Giants watched as the Jacksonville Jaguars, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans and New York Jets all went with defensive players with the first four selections of the 2022 NFL Draft. The Giants decided to add a stud defender of their own.

With the pick in, the Giants had Sam Prince of Make-A-Wish make the announcement of who the fifth-overall selection of the NFL Draft will be. Prince proceeded to steal the show, as he announced Oregon defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux as the newest member of the Giants.

Prince and Thibodeaux shared an awesome moment on the NFL Draft stage in Las Vegas.

After the selection of Thibodeaux was announced, NFL Twitter users shared how they could not get enough of the energy Prince brought.

Prince is a lifelong Giants fan who recently received a heart transplant. His wish was to announce a NFL Draft pick for the Giants. The team made that dream a reality, as general manager Joe Schoen, surrounded by head coach Brian Daboll and legendary Giants quarterback Eli Manning, gave him the news, and he was pumped!

Prior to the announcement, Goodell revealed that Prince wants to be a sports broadcaster.

The Giants have long struggled finding a star pass rusher to get to the quarterback. Last season, they selected Georgia’s Azeez Ojulari in the second-round last year. One year later, Schoen uses his first pick on Thibodeaux to hopefully be the team’s premier pass rusher for the foreseeable future.

Playing for the Ducks, Thibodeaux 126 combined tackles (35.5 for loss), 19 sacks, seven defended passes and three forced fumbles.

The Giants 2022 fifth-overall selection will forever be remembered due to picking Thibodeaux and the amazing announcement by Prince.
