Tyreek Hill might be missing Patrick Mahomes after Tua’s underthrow (Video)

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill may miss Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes after catching an underthrown ball from Tua Tagovailoa.

It hasn’t been long since Tyreek Hill left Kansas City for Miami, but he may already be getting homesick for Mahomes’ passes.

At least, that seems to be the consensus online after watch Hill slow down to catch an underthrown pass by Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Tagovailoa finds his footing near the endzone and lobs a ball to Hill. While the camera focuses solely on the ball as it soars through the air, it pans back to Hill as he catches it — and Hill had to turn and slow down to catch the ball.

It could be an overanalysis of a practice throw, but considering that this was the moment Miami wanted to highlight on their social media, perhaps Hill has a lot more adjustments ahead as he settles into Miami.

While it’s understandable that Hill left Kansas City for more money, that decision could have come at a higher price than Hill anticipated: the ability to catch a nice rainbow pass from one of the most dynamic NFL quarterbacks in decades.

Even when Mahomes threw a pass that Hill had to stop to catch, it went further and was under much more difficult circumstances, a testament to Mahomes’ immense play-making ability.

That being said, the argument in the Twitter comments exemplifies the beef between Dolphins and Chiefs fans: Chiefs fans are laughing at Tua, while Dolphins fans are laughing at… well, the Dolphins social media account for sharing this particular throw.

The truth is, the 2022 NFL season is going to look starkly different for both of these teams: the Chiefs benefitted from Hill’s speed, and Hill could be hampered if Tua continues to make underwhelming throws.

There’s a lot of time between now and autumn, so it will be months until observers can determine whether or not Tyreek Hill is the answer to unlocking Tua’s game.
