NFL world mourns the loss of Arizona Cardinals cornerback Jeff Gladney

The football world mourns the tragic loss of Arizona Cardinals cornerback Jeff Gladney.

Former TCU star and NFL cornerback Jeff Gladney passed away at 25 years old on Monday.

Gladney was involved in a fatal car accident in Dallas in the early hours of Monday morning.

His agent Brian Overstreet confirmed of Gladney’s untimely passing.

“We are asking prayers for the family and privacy at this most difficult time,” said Overstreet.

It seemed like Gladney was about to turn the corner after a very chaotic 2021 for him personally and professionally. The former first-round pick by the Minnesota Vikings signed with the Arizona Cardinals this offseason, hoping to reinvent himself after only a one-year run in the Twin Cities.

Now, he is no longer with us.

His former college teammate and Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jalen Reagor broke the heartbreaking news to the world on Twitter during Memorial Day.

To make things even more heartbreaking, Gladney just bought his mom a house two days ago.

Even if things did not work out for him with the Vikings, Gladney was a first-rounder for a reason. He had so much talent, and everybody was so excited to see what he could do starting anew in the Valley of the Sun. Sadly, Gladney is no longer going to be getting that opportunity. The way the football world has reacted to his untimely passing shows the type of impact he had on others.

May Gladney’s friends and family find peace after this absolutely heartbreaking moment for them.
