Legendary Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has had an undeniable impact in the NFL, and he’s showcasing that through a unique cast in his new movie.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is essentially a household name to most thanks to his legendary impact in the NFL, and he’s bringing his legacy to the big screen in February with an iconic cast. His new movie, 80 for Brady, will feature stars Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno, Sally Field and Brady himself.

The trailer for the film is here:

The trailer hilariously shows a group of 80-year-old women with their eyes set on seeing Brady and Rob Gronkowski play live in the Super Bowl with the New England Patriots. They’re faced with financial trouble as the tickets would cost them $10,000, so they have to find unique ways to get in.

To make things even better, the movie is inspired by a true story, which truly shows just how big of a deal Brady is.

Tom Brady’s legacy is showcased in ’80 for Brady’

It’s no secret that New England and Boston fans are passionate about their teams. Brady, however, brings an entirely different level of fandom through such a unique dynasty.

When drafted, nobody knew Brady would have as much of an impact as he did. He was a sixth-round pick for the Patriots in 2000, and he quickly emerged as one of the best players in the league. He currently holds most of the records for quarterbacks in the NFL.

His path was untraditional as he more seriously played baseball in high school and was drafted in MLB, but discovered his love for football around the same time and decided to go down that path instead. He struggled to get playing time in college as a quarterback, but his perseverance certainly paid off.

In his first season as a starter in New England (2001), he helped the Pats win their first-ever Super Bowl. The team made Super Bowl appearances in the 1996 and 1985 seasons previously, but they fell short each time and couldn’t secure a win.

Brady truly turned around a franchise that had limited success. Now, the Patriots are tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most Super Bowl wins in history (6), and New England has the most of the 2000s. It’s understandable why New England fans would love such an unexpected underdog so much.

His unique legacy may have been created through his NFL career, but it’s not limited there. After all, how many people can say they have a group of 80-year-old fans willing to do whatever it takes to cheer them on? Probably not many, but Brady certainly can.
