Ja’Marr Chase has perfect taunt to reference Twitter beef with Justin Reid

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase trolled Kansas City Chiefs safety Justin Reid in Week 13 after their Twitter beef.

There was already intrigue entering the Week 13 matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals. It was the Bengals who got the better of the Chiefs twice last season, including a win in the AFC Championship Game.

Ahead of the game, Chiefs safety Justin Reid stirred up the drama after mixing up the numbers of Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins and tight end Hayden Hurst while meeting with the media, and saying on Twitter later on that “any and everyone still getting locked up.” That caught the attention of Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, who replied in a tweet with “let’s put some money on it big time.

Flash forward to the game on Sunday, Cincinnati was able to extend their lead to 14-3 on their second drive of the game after quarterback Joe Burrow connected with Higgins, who pushed his way into the end zone for a touchdown.

Afterwards, Chase walked up to Reid and mocked throwing money at him.

Chase remembered what Reid said, and what he tweeted. So, when Higgins scored a touchdown at Reid’s expense, Chase decided to troll him.

While the taunt may have been hilarious to Bengals fans, it was costly, as the officials gave Chase a taunting penalty, resulting in it being enforced between downs.

This was Chase’s first game back since returning from a hip injury that he suffered back in Week 7. He made an impact against the Chiefs secondary, as he recorded a 40-yard catch-and-run, highlighted by him hurdling over safety Juan Thornhill.

After surrendering a touchdown to Higgins, Reid heard it from Chase afterwards.
